  About the Role:

  The Team: You will be part of the Commodity Insights Client Service team. Our team provides customer support and training in the North Americas region for our US and International E&P content and Geoscience Software products. We help clients to navigate between sales, product management, customer IT infrastructure and their S&P Global services. We use our expertise to demonstrate the value of our products and market intelligence using integrated workflows.

  Responsibilities and Impact:

  You will interact with clients via phone, email, video and live meetings to provide support and training on our Upstream products.

  Able to handle technical or information queries from internal or external customers.

  Able to provide insight on content of data and / or provide technical support to customers.

  Able to understand customer applications from a technical or information perspective.

  Resolve general and complex customer inquiries through phone or email correspondence and document within a CRM system.

  Compensation/Benefits Information:

  S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,000 $75,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.

  In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

  What We’re Looking For:

  Basic Required Qualifications:

  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Geology, or related technical/earth science degree or equivalent experience.

  Typically two years experience either in Customer Care or relevant technical support / information-related role.

  Prefer candidates have previous experience using SPGlobal PowerTools or FieldDIRECT products.

  Has a technical understanding of oil and gas software applications with an emphasis on Production/Allocation.

  Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  Ability to answer internal/external technical or information issues and customer requests.

  Carries out customer installations.

  Must be articulate, patient, and professional and have strong interpersonal skills.

  Able to explain complex workflow analysis with clients in a straightforward and organized manner.

  Creation and delivery of educational content for clients, both in a traditional learning environment and through online platforms.
