Summary Manages and develops communicationprograms, initiatives, and campaigns that align with NorthwesternMutual\'s strategic corporate communication priorities. These activitiesinform, educate, and influence a range of target audiences including thecompany\'s clients, prospects, key influencers, the field, employees andother collaborators. This role will primarily focus on the design,development and implementation of communication plans supporting ourClient Advocacy change initiatives. Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesConsults with client group department heads on department communicationstrategy. Plans, manages and implements communication programs, projectsand initiatives that align employees with department direction andstrategic priorities. Leads committees and task forces in developingsophisticated communication initiatives that support the departmentbusiness direction, goals and objectives. Acts as a resource and maymentor/train communication specialists. May act as liaison with outsidecommunication contractors. Administers the measures to evaluate theeffectiveness of communication and assess the return on communicationinvestment. Recommends, develops, implements and maintains communicationstandards for department. Assures that quality standards are present indepartmental communications. Works independently and receives minimalguidance. Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree 6 or more years ofexperience in professional communication, public relations,organizational communication, marketing or related communication field.Proven skill in project management. Outstanding verbal and writtencommunication skills. Ability to absorb complex information and convertit to an understandable format. Ability to adapt style and buildconsensus with client group leaders. Ability to solve sophisticatedproblems and analyze information from multiple resources to makebusiness decisions.
