Qualifications:
Possess a high school degree or comparable equivalent
Minimum of one (1) year of job related experience which demonstrates ability to work independently, with a minimum of supervision and function in a dynamic, fast-paced, continually changing environment with frequent interruptions, OR
Documented credits from an accredited university, college, community college, or business school may be used to fulfill or help fulfill the one (1) year of job-related experience. Forty-five (45) quarter credits or thirty (30) semester credits are equivalent to one full year of job-related experience.
Recency (prior 10 years) and substance of work experience will be considered in determining applicant qualifications
Experience which demonstrates excellent customer service abilities, interpersonal skills, team player attitude, and the ability to manage situations
Experience which demonstrates a high level of attention to, and management of, detailed information
Experience which demonstrates strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
Possess excellent problem solving, analytical, and conflict resolution skills and ability to think quickly
Experience which demonstrates excellent written communication skills and have ability to compose and proof correspondence, as needed
Experience using Microsoft Office/Suite (including Word and Excel)
Experience using Microsoft Office/Suite (including Access and PowerPoint) preferred
Possess skill in working with numbers, mathematical computations, and worksheets
Willingness to learn new technology
Working knowledge and demonstrated experience in GMail, Absence Management, Pagemaker or similar desktop publishing programs, and Student Information System through Skyward is preferred

Answers telephone and walk-in inquiries from students, staff and the public. Forwards messages and directs visitors. Maintains appointment calendars, directs the work of students or volunteers.
Maintains records for college bound applications, forecasting, and class schedules. Posts critical dates and meeting information for students.
Maintains office files, forms, reports, applications, fee waivers, as needed. Provides current, accurate supply of forms.
Maintains files for Running Start applications, forecasting, and class schedules. Posts critical dates and meeting information for Running Start students.
Assists with coordination of activities or events that involve students, staff, other schools and the administration offices. May solicit volunteer help.
Coordinates parent-teacher, parent-counselor conferences, to include the scheduling of interpreters
Receives and processes all requests for student homework, both long and short-term. Interacts with teaching staff, parents, and tutors to provide a steady flow of homework during student absences.
Processes, mails, and faxes all transcript requests for current and prior students
Maintains SAT/ACT records for current and prior students to include SAT/ACT applications, fee waivers, websites, etc
Transmits to staff all transfer grade information for incoming students and maintains records on an annual basis
Assists parents and new students in the registration process
Assists counselors by coordinating appointment schedules, preparing and typing materials, (development of materials, layout and design for format and proofing), preparing transparencies, copying material and coordinating timelines
Makes contacts, compiles database and coordinates volunteers assisting teachers/students in the classroom
Types reports, correspondence, announcements, notices, checks, certificates, contracts, and other material from verbal direction or from written draft. May compose materials; proof material for accuracy of format, grammar, typing and compliance with procedural instructions. Gathers and compiles information/data for the development or completion of reports, special projects and decision-making processes.
Maintains clean and orderly work area; may arrange for recycling or storage of material and equipment
May direct students who work in school program and activities and monitors students who are being disciplined
May provide support for the International Baccalaureate Magnet (CRHS)
May provide clerical and proctor support for large scale assessments (district, state, etc) (CRHS)
May schedule students into online course work ( Heights )
May keep records fo partnerships with online vendors ( Heights )
May assist administration and guidance team with supporting student interventions in Academy (Bay)
May assist with all identified student assessment measures and supports the testing coordinator in the implementation of these tests (Bay)
May support the administrator in charge of safety and security (Bay)
May assist guidance team with inputting grades and updating student academic history (Bay)
Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by administrator in alignment with their job classification
Benefits/Compensation:
Salary range: New employees will start at the minimum hourly rate in the salary range. However, employees who have verified prior years of service in a similar occupational status from other Washington School Districts or Education School Districts, may receive experience credit towards salary placement.
