  THE POSITION

  Are you a meticulous administrative professional with excellent communication and organizational skills, seeking a thrilling career change? The Bureau of Motor Vehicles is currently in search of a Clerical Assistant 2 who will offer assistance in examining and data entry of documents, as well as ensuring that customers have the necessary, and current insurance papers to legally drive their vehicles.   DESCRIPTION OF WORK

  As part of this role, you will examine and enter financial responsibility information. This includes making decisions on suspensions, rescinding records, reinstatements, restorations, citations, renewals, and processing motorist's vehicle registration records. You will also determine whether to issue or deny registration plates and cards based on the provided documentation. It will be your responsibility to evaluate the content and select the appropriate processing or error response codes for applications. Additionally, you will handle the opening, tracking, and processing of certified mail received in the financial responsibility section. You will be required to conduct phone verifications with insurance agents and departments to gather information about customers' financial responsibility.

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  Full-time employment

  Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.

  Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

  QUALIFICATIONS

  Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title);or

  Graduation from high school;or

  An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  Additional Requirements:

  You must be able to perform essential job functions.
