Description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity, with possibility of permanent hire, for a Claims Assistant in Overland Park, Kansas. This role is within the insurance industry and will involve office functions, customer service, and data entry tasks. The successful applicant will be adept at using Microsoft Office Suites, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook, and will play a key role in maintaining our meticulous documentation processes.
Responsibilities:
• Handle and process customer claims in an accurate and timely manner.
• Utilize data entry skills to maintain and update customer records.
• Provide excellent customer service, resolving customer inquiries efficiently.
• Use Microsoft Office Suites to create and manage documents and correspondence.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions as needed.
• Maintain a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook for communication and task management.
• Assist in various office functions to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all documentation protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to improve customer service and claim processing procedures.
• Utilize problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues that may arise during the claims process.
Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites including Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word
• Experience in Customer Service, capable of handling customer inquiries and complaints
• Strong data entry skills, ability to input and manage data with accuracy
• Excellent documentation skills, able to create and maintain records and files
• Familiarity with standard office functions, such as filing, answering phones, and managing correspondence
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic analytical skills to review claims and determine course of action
• Detail-oriented and organized, especially in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well in a team and independently as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in insurance or related field will be a plus
