A Multi-Disciplined Engineering Consulting firm specializing in land planning, civil engineering, ad land surveying organization is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join their team in Ontario, CA. The Engineer will support commercial, and industrial projects throughout Southern California. The Design Engineer will produce Rough Grading Plans, Precise Grading Plans, Street, Sewer, Water and Storm Drain Improvement Plans, Site Plan Development and Tentative Map Preparation
Duties:
Assisting the Project Manager with the overall plan production of a project, including individual designs (private and public improvements)
Providing technical oversight to staff engineers, ensuring that project schedules and budgets are met,
Performing complex civil design calculations, preparing sketches and technical studies as required
Coordinating project assignments with internal and external project team members including public agencies,
Attending Project and Site Meetings with clients, architects, public agencies, and other consultants as needed,
Reviewing drawings supplied by vendors, clients, engineers and architects, recommending necessary changes and coordinating with internal documents,
100 Percent in office. there will be no field work
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience designing in AutoCAD Civil 3D High level of proficiency with cut/fill balance grading, drainage, and street design in Civil 3D.
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
Ability to lead plan preparation from the acquisition of survey data and base map preparation through final mylars and record drawings with minimal direction.
Ability to coordinate with the design team, outside consultants, and public agencies.
Ability to set up and manage AutoCAD drafting and plan preparation standards.
Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings.
Willingness to mentor and teach others.
Detail-oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter.
Demonstrates basic knowledge and application of engineering principles.
Additional Info:
Compensation: $85,000 to $100,000 per Year Negotiable based upon experience
