  Pay Range: $35.62-$46.70*

  OR- RN – Full Time- Day Shift- Primary shift 7:30a-5:15p – Requisition 7178

  Provides care for patients in a post anesthesia care setting. Provides nursing care to patients receiving all types of anesthetic agents, applying the nursing process to actual or potential physical or psychosocial problems that may result from the use of such agents. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN is responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care for the patient in Surgical Services in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Nursing Department. Responsibilities include directing unlicensed employee activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching patients/family, implementation of treatment plan/MD orders, and evaluation of care rendered. The RN must effectively communicate and document data relevant to the care of the patient. In addition, the RN collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure safe and effective patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time. Adheres to established code(s) of ethics for nurses. Willing learner and team player. Knowledge of growth and develop. Taking call is a requirement. Qualifications: Current New York State RN License. BLS Certification. Successful completion of ACLS and PALS within 90 days post start date. Successful completion of the Critical Care Course within 6 months of position start date. ASPAN Certification preferred. Three years of nursing experience preferred. Knowledge of anesthetic agents, techniques and patient responses to same. Strong patient teaching skills. Experience in operating room, pain management, and/or endoscopy procedures preferred.

  *The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
