For over 18 years, Excel has conducted in-depth transmission system studies and analyses to provide our Clients with the information they need to efficiently maintain their resources, reliability and design improvements. This position works closely with other engineers, project managers, and Client team members in support of both capital and operational improvement projects. Primary responsibilities: Manage and act as lead engineer on projects related to electrical transmission system planning studies to determine short- and long-range transmission requirements, generation additions, and retirements Supervise work of direct reports assigned to tasks, and will be expected to regularly self-perform tasks, as needed. In addition, but not limited to, this individual will be required to: Identify, qualify, and develop new clients, as well as nurture existing client relationships, within target organizations. Build effective and collaborative relationships with the key decision-makers within the target organizations. Conduct face-to-face meetings with prospective clients. Participate in professional organizations and informal networks to develop and obtain prospects, as well as utilize Excel s contact database to identify and research prospects. Understand the short and long-term needs and challenges of targets, as well as how Excel s services can solve their problems, improve their competitive position, and move their business forward.
