　　CHMC- MHU – Psycho Education Coordinator- Full Time- Day Shift-– Req 7129

　　Age specific competence is required for this position.

　　This position provides services to the following ages of patients:

　　Adults 18 and older

　　Geriatrics 70+

　　A Psycho-Education Coordinator in the Mental Health department is a multifaceted position which includes programmatic and clinical responsibilities of a multidisciplinary team; attending morning team meetings, assessing, evaluating, and implementing care plans for patient in terms of educational programming designed on client needs

　　EDUCATION:

　　Required:

　　Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Human Services, or Education or combination of education/work experience in program supervisionLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

　　Required:

　　BLS certificationTRAINING and EXPERIENCE:

　　Required:

　　Knowledge and understanding/ability to work with mentally ill patients

　　Crisis Intervention training within hospital orientation period

　　Basic Computer knowledge

　　Maintaining confidentiality of all patient information

　　Maintaining quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory agencies

　　Ability to implement and support procedures and programs pertaining to patient safety and security

　　Exhibit proficient communication skills and ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a variety of personalities

　　Ability to sustain attention to detail and accuracy as it pertains to the monitoring and documentation of information

　　Maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients
