Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking anorganized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve asChild Welfare Trainee. Under general supervision, this position willparticipate in a trainee program for 6 to 12 months, to a maximum of 24months to obtain additional training and experience. The position willprovide on the job training in agency field services and administrativeservices to enable the selected candidate to develop working skills inthe field of child welfare. This position provides a great opportunityfor someone who is passionate about children and interested in playing arole in ensuring that children and youth remain safe. Job Responsibilitieis
Serves as Child Welfare Trainee.Develops working skills to advance in completing projects ofincreased complexity involving academic knowledge coupled withon-the-job training.Attends meetings to broaden knowledge of agency operations.Assists supervisor with projects acquired to further agencyoperations and/or agenda and begins to participate in assigned areaof responsibility.Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonablywithin the scope of the duties enumerated above.
