DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Child Support Enforcement Specialist, you will operate the international Bureau of Child Support Enforcement (BCSE) toll-free helpline to resolve and respond to complaints and inquiries received from custodial and non-custodial parents, DRSs, hospitals, birthing units, state and federal legislators, Office of Legislative Affairs (OLA), DVR, attorneys, and the public dealing with multiple programs across multiple branches of government. You will utilize the contracted interpretation service to effectively communicate clearly with the public who has limited English proficiency. be responsible for processing intergovernmental petitions, status requests and requests for assistance within the federally mandated time frames, develop resolution and prepare written responses; conduct comprehensive investigations and maintain subject knowledge, for the Office of the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of Human Services, Deputy Secretary for Income Maintenance, the BCSE Bureau Director and Division Director of Central Operations, OLA, who receive inquiries from state and federal legislators, and OCSE. You will also communicate with technical staff from the Bureau of Information Systems, DVR, PACSES Helpdesk, DHS Helpdesk, JNET Helpdesk, and the contracted vendors when problems are identified between the interfaces and recommend sound, effective resolutions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment.Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.Travel: As needed.Overtime: No.May change based on operational needs.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time after successful completion of your probationary period (4 days telework, 1 day in office). During probationary period, you will be full-time in office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection.
