Job Summary:
The Chief of Operations provides leadership for company personnel and ensures the site is staffed in accordance with approved manning directives and policies.
Job Responsibilities:
All scheduled satellite pass supports, readiness, training, and exercises.
Managing diverse Union workforce, adheres to CBA while managing employees/resolving issues.
Ensuring all operations tasks are conducted in accordance with approved directives.
Writing and reviewing site operational instructions, ensuring compliance by employees.
Coordinating all operational activities with customers including the prime contractor and government personnel.
Interfacing with Akima Shared Services on employee issues; payroll, timekeeping, benefits, etc.
Collecting and analyzing operational performance data; recommends process improvements.
Ensuring mission success is maintained/improved with current/future satellite pass requirements.
Enforcing standards and deploys company directed discipline practices when needed.
Conducting and supervising employee technical training program in an on-the-job environment.
Performs other collateral duties as assigned or directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field with at least five (5) years Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN) experience. In lieu of degree, four (4) years of additional related work experience will be considered.
Must hold and maintain a current active Secret clearance.
Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to lead employees in a team environment.
Experience interfacing with military personnel and government customers.
Must be able to climb high ladders, work on elevated platforms and antennas.
Must be able to perform strenuous physical work to include walking, lifting, pulling loads, bending, kneeling, sitting and reaching overhead.
Must be able to read, write and clearly speak English.
Position may require additional government certifications as necessary.
Full time - Day shift, and as determined by Deputy Program Manager. Pay & Benefits:
Salary Range: $90,000 to $100,000 – The salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, work experience, and their ability to meet the known requirements of the position as determined at the time of hire. Job location will also be a factor in determining the salary offered.
