The Chemistry Laboratory Technician is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the analytical chemistry laboratory's test equipment ( FTIR, HPLC, AA, UV/Vis, FIA & ICP-MS) to determine the acceptance of additives & prepared chemical solutions. They must be able to interpret analytical results, data, and act, accordingly, communicating the results effectively.

Main responsibilities will include:
Develop technical understanding and techniques required to implement all analytical testing in the lab, including FTIR, HPLC, AA, UV/Vis, FIA & ICP-MS analysis.Ensure compliance by monitoring production schedule and performing applicable testing at set frequencies for purchased chemicals, mixed additive solutions, and production samples.Effective maintenance, operation, and as required fixing of analytical equipment.Support the execution of laboratory validations, including software; equipment; Excel spreadsheet; and analytical method validations.Complete smaller laboratory projects, such as change controls, document revisions, duplicate equipment installations, or minor process updates.Implement calibration activities of analytical equipment as outlined in laboratory calibration procedures.Complete data analysis of statistics-based inspections or special request/contract testing and prepare final reports for review if applicable.Maintain a high degree of accuracy and good technique in all laboratory procedures, mathematical calculations, and keeping quality records to a GMP/GLP standard.
About you
BSc degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, any relevant science/engineering equivalent, OR associate degree with 4 years confirmed laboratory/technical experience.Minimum of 1-year confirmed chemistry laboratory experience (college laboratory experience is acceptable).Knowledge of Medical Device Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP, 21CFR820) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP, 21CFR58) is a nice to have.Self-motivated with the ability to work without continuous/direct supervision.Effective organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously whilst keeping the area clean and tidy.Fluent in English and able to use scientific language.
Working conditions
The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions that require gowning associated with Class 9 manufacturing environment.The worker is subject to mechanical hazards, chemicals, and other industrial hazards associated with manufacturing.
