Chemist/Chemical Engineer/Plastics Engineer Acculam, a dynamic andgrowing organization, located in Falmouth, Massachusetts, is looking formultiple individuals from entry level up to 10 years of manufacturingexperience. We manufacture advanced composite sheet, plate, rod, andtubes. These products are used in a wide variety of applications rangingfrom but not limited to industrial, medical, defense, recreational,electronics and aerospace. Duties and Responsibilities: ?Design/development of new products. ? Re-design of existing products andprocesses. ? Conduct process development of new processes. ? Conducttroubleshooting of present process issues. ? Qualify new resinformulation feedstock sources. ? Optimize current processes to: o Reducescrap. o Reduce downtime. o Improve quality. o Increase throughput. ?Document new procedures in support of product development and processdevelopment. ? Provide technical service to sales and marketplace. ?Investigate non-conformances, determine root cause and correctiveaction. ? Assist in maintaining the Quality Management System. ? Assistin maintaining environmental data collection and reporting. ? Minimum ofa BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Plastics Engineering orequivalent. ? Plastics/Composites experience strongly preferred. ?Thermoset resin experience, especially epoxy, is strongly preferred. ?Reports to the Manager of Technology and Quality.
