[What you will do]{.underline}
Work in a battery plant quality laboratory with analytical instrumentation and other technical and quality control staff.At times must be able to lift lead/acid batteries or move them around for sample collection purposes only.
[How you will do it]{.underline}
Testing and analysis of lead/acid battery materials including ICP/OES, DSC, UV/Vis, laser diffraction particle size, X-Ray Diffraction and others.
Preparation of lead and acid samples (hazardous materials).
Wet chemistry (titrimetry, colorimetry).
Accurate record keeping and reporting of data.
Sample collection.
[What we look for]{.underline}
Associates or Bachelors degree in chemistry or closely related field preferred.
Candidates with extensive laboratory experience also considered.
Ability to operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments.
Knowledge of wet chemistry analytical techniques and chemical handling.
Good math skills and ability to perform calculations.
Good writing skills and grammar; ability to write reports.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for up to 80% of the time.
Able to work 1st or 2nd shift.
