Chemist I | Entry Level | Paying up to $25/hr.
Description:
Candidates will undergo a training period to learn the skills to perform this role. Candidates with academic or professional laboratory knowledge and experience will be preferred.
Perform Quality Control testing using IR, GC, Flash Point, Densitometer, Hydrometer, viscometer, turbidimeter, density, pH, pipetting, non-volatiles, etc.
Perform dilutions as well as microbial swabs as needed.
Perform lab testing on numerous chemical products and raw materials including corrosives, acids and bases as well as formaldehyde from time to time.
Document and record all quality testing data per the sample procedure and quality documentation system.
Maintain a clean, safe lab area and follow good GLP's, SOP's, etc.
Collect samples from operations as needed to perform the correct testing procedure and quality process.
Maintain and update all quality paperwork for all work performed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, etc. or minor in a related scientific discipline or similar education.
6+ months of academic lab experience or any kind of hands on, real world lab work.
Science graduates are encouraged to apply.
