About Chemical Risk Management Intern

  Responsibilities

  Conduct and support analyses for a variety of tasks such as regulatory reviews, chemical research, chemical disclosures, life cycle assessments (LCAs), and supply chain assessments.

  Review, evaluate, and interpret evolving federal, state, and international regulatory policies and regulatory actions with a focus on chemical management, environment, sustainability, supply chain, climate, and environmental, social, and corporate governance.

  Research and analyze chemical supply chain data by performing in-depth online searches, gathering open source and customer data, and utilizing subscription services and tools.

  Monitor and assess impacts from emerging regulations on chemical availability and risk of supply chain disruption.

  Support development of communication materials (e.g., reports, slide decks) tailored to various audiences to describe and summarize emerging regulations and their potential impacts.

  Required Qualifications

  GPA of 3.3 or higher

  U.S. Citizenship

  Undergraduate rising senior or graduate student pursuing an Engineering, Science, Supply Chain, Economics, or Policy/Regulatory degree with environmental, chemical, or sustainability focus (e.g., Environmental Engineering and Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Policy)

  Excellent communication, written, and organizational skills

  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and collaboratively in a team-focused group

  Works well in a geographically diverse team environment

  Desired Qualifications

  Has good data analysis skills and experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.​

  Knowledge of U.S. and international environmental and chemical management laws such as Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Clean Air Act (CAA), Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), etc.

  Knowledge of DoD (e.g., installations, activities, weapon systems, equipment)

  Salary Range Explanation

  Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package for employees.

  Posted Salary Range

  USD $22.00 - USD $36.00 /Hr.
