Charge Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department at Texas Health Arlington – Full-Time Nights Shift

Work location: Texas Health Arlington Memorial: 800 W. Randol Mill Road Arlington, Texas 76012

Work hours: Full-Time (36 Hours a week) Night Shift - 3/12 hour shifts per week

Department highlights:

· 50 bed ED which includes our vertical treatment area that is called the JET (joint evaluation and treatment).

· Level 3 trauma center

· Chest pain, CHF and stroke accredited through TJC and received a gold plus level (the highest level there is) for all 3 programs.

· Magnet facility

Here’s What You Need

Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred

Current RN licensure upon hire required

BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

ACLS – within 90 days required

CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire

PALS - within 90 days of hire

ATCN - Advanced Trauma Care Nurse within 12 Months of hire

TNCC - within 12 months of hire

1 year experience as a clinical nurse required

2 Years Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting preferred

At least 1 year of ER or Critical Care experience preferred

The Charge Nurse role will support and actively participate in shared governance/councils which is Texas Health’s structure for decision making. This role directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed. Individuals in this role will demonstrate:
