Job Overview:This position is to provide Pastoral Care Support at Good Samaritan, Bethesda North Hospital and Hospice of Cincinnati.Job Requirements:High School Degree in 1 Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (2 units prefered)Ordination or Endorsement by a recognized faith groupJob Responsibilities:Pursues continued Professional Development: CERTIFIED CHAPLAINS: Completion of required Continuing Education to maintain certification. NON-CERTIFIED CHAPLAINS (Chapain Associates): Completion of 20 hours of continuing pastoral education.Documents on EPIC, appropriate information for the nurses, documents about patients' religion and advance directives.Informs patients of spiritual opportunities available, offers emotional/spiritual support through prayers and listening presence.Is a good team members by being generous and flexible in cross coverage for sicknesses and vacations.Demonstrates flexibility and initiative in providing services and participation in on-call as appropriate.Provides Pastoral Care on assigned units of hospital.
