CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Technical Writer (12-month FTC) to join the team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, and updating, current CSIM policies, procedures, and standards at a global level. This role is vital for ensuring consistency, compliance, and effectiveness in CSIM practices across the client regions in EMEA, APAC, and AMS.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards.
Gain deep understanding of current Data Centre and White Space management processes, and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content.
Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of target audience, turning insights into language for user success.
Evaluate current content and develop innovative methods for improvement.
Completing a review of current Data Centre and White Space management documentation to verify, consolidate and categorise into Standards, Policy, process / procedures.
Work with the client leads at a global level to prioritise updating of documentation.
Undertake review of documentation in place.
Undertake a gap review of what Morgan Stanley have in place, to what they need.
Review polices/procedures as fit for purpose to globalise them (creating any that do not exist).
Translate the three regions’ operating procedures into global standards documents.
Update finalized items into the current playbook.
Experience Required
Two or more years of experience as an effective technical writer
Ability to evaluate and analyse complex information with a natural desire to help people understand it
Strong PC skills, MS Office
Self-motivated and resourceful
Good administrative skills - Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
Well organised and good prioritisation and planning skills.
Service orientated attitude combined with innovative thinking.
Knowledge and awareness of the facilities management industry
Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and best practices
Ability to communicate at all levels.
Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter.
Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences
Experience in working with engineers to improve user experience, refine content, and create procedural, policy and process content.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field of work with a minimum of 2 years experience writing software documentation or technical product manuals or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Visio. Thorough understanding of D&T architecture, concepts from both an infrastructure and development standpoint.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Decisions made with thorough knowledge of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
