Change and Release Administrator Job Description
Job Purpose:
To manage the ITIL Change and Release Management Life Cycle in an IT Infrastructure environment. The role holder is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of Change and Release into a customer environment typically for a single customer or multiple small customers but in accordance with Fujitsu’s ITIL and ISO framework.
Responsibilities:
Administer the ITIL Change & Release Management Life Cycle in an IT Infrastructure environment.
Deliver Service Deliverables for Customers at a high level of professional services incorporating responsibility, accountability, integrity and quality assurance at all times.
Ensure the Change & Release Management procedures are administered from end to end to provide successful completion of changes where the correct approval process is followed with a rigid testing regime incorporated into the process design to ensure minimal impact to the Customer business.
Manage workload, and undertake appropriate escalation responsibilities where required
Deliver Reporting to the Senior Staff as requested.
Ensure all customer required documentation is kept current as requested.
Assists the Senior staff, Team Manager and Group manager in the delivery and improvement of services.
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar field.
At least 2 years’ relevant experience in change and/or release administration.
Must be knowledgeable in ITIL framework.
Must have high level of negotiation skills when working with operational groups and with the client.
Excellent communication, time management and prioritization skills.
Excellent stakeholder management.
Attentive to details and highly flexible.
