Principal Responsibilities
Regularly maintain gas delivery systems that include storage tanks, vaporizers, control panels, telemetry systems, etc. for products to include N2, O2, Ar, CO2, Hydrogen, and Helium systems in the assigned coverage areaProvides training leadership for CES Region, including recertification of Technicians on particular equipment typesTeaches classroom training for CES activities to both CES personnel and other interested members of the Messer communityMay lead the occasional install or removal as required by the region for peak shavingAssist as required on Bulk tank installations and removalsMaintain mobile inventories and equipmentPerform Corrective Maintenance service calls as needed to ensure customer installations are kept running effectivelyProvide key customer contact throughout the life of a Bulk installation contract, including discussing with the customer areas where Messer can help them increase the efficiency of their processesAct as a technical resource accompanying the sales organization on customer callsManage subcontractors who provide additional services on site, such as pump repair, tank painting, and snow removalProvide revenue generating services on site as needed and directed by Sales, through CES Central SupportAssist Lead Technician in technician training and qualification, Messer standards implementation, and area support of sales, customer, CES, distribution, and production activitiesWorks with inside sales to provide site integration quotes for customersProvides project management and coordination for customers as neededFollow Messer safety policies, procedures, and goalsMust be self-motivated and self-sufficient in the customer service environmentComplete IMSS Chapters as assignedContinuous demonstration of superior achievement through PMP performance ratingDocumented competency on current training profile contentTracks time and materials on work orders via PrometheusAdheres to Drivecam/Smith System driving requirementsMay be asked to support occasional customer call outs on nights and weekends for emergencies or other items needing immediate response year technology degree preferred4 year technical degree preferred in the area of electrical, mechanical, refrigeration or relatedStrong electrical and mechanical skills: soldering (silver and soft), refrigeration, pipe fitting, basic computer-using skillsCO2 and/or cryogenic experience helpfulDemonstrated competency in specialized area such as orbital welding, purifiers, high pressure pumps, etc.Technical capabilities across all sectors of the CES businessStrong practical or classroom training presenceSafety and Detail OrientedBilingual (Spanish / English) preferred
