Veritas’ Worldwide Sales and Marketing team propels company growth by driving all aspects of sales and marketing, including direct and channel sales, global sales enablement and all marketing functions.
SCOPE OF ROLE: This role is focused on working with a set of assigned accounts and/or territory and sales to obtain closure and manage technical risk on new Veritas business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides a level of technical expertise and technical closure for a specific solution within an assigned accounts and/or territoriesRecognised within the team as the subject matter expert acrossBackup & Recovery, Information Archiving and StorageMaintain product/solution expertise of market trends in aligned technology including detailed understanding of the competitionProvide high level solution design for information managementBe able to present the Veritas technical vision and offering strategy to across the solution offering to all levels across the customer internally and externally e.g. technical or business leadsOwn the delivery of technical briefings for solutions and/products for external and internal customers/partners including proof ofconcepts/demonstrationswhen requiredMaintaining keyrelationships/contactswithin the Sales, TSS customers and PartnersSKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Proven track record of building and maintaining excellent customer relationships with both technical and business stakeholdersAbility to map Veritas offerings against customer needs and to identify new opportunities within the territory/customersConsistent proven achievement against goals or targetsUnderstands the importance of driving the technical sales lifecycleHas understanding of operational cadence in their specific areasEnsures operating within compliance from a process, legal andrevenue recognitionPresents themselves in a professional manner, being a representative of their organisationEXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Comes from an IT background working within a world class software organisation covering IT Infrastructure, Datacenter technologyTechnical Sales experience inBackground in Backup & Recovery, Information Archiving and Storage is requiredKnowledge of VMware, Oracle DB, Cloud Architectures and Big Data Architectures is preferredExternal qualification/industrycertification e.g. CISSP, SNIA, ITIL,SANS GIAC, CISA, CISMDegree/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent IT related subject and/or specific industry related experienceMust be based in Finland and must be technically consulting external customers in FinlandAt Veritas, we care about the causes close to your heart and enable you to volunteer, donate, and do good.
