Job Overview:This job exists as a position for RCP's who are certified only, a student enrolled in an approved Respiratory Therapy School, or for graduate RCP who is pursuing RRT status or waiting to take the examiniation to obtain RRT status. RCP technicians who do not obtain the RRT credential within department specified time frames will no longer be eligible to remain in this job category. Under the direction of the Medical Director this practitioner will provide respiratory care in patient care settings appropriate to their level of training and competency - see stipulations identified in the performance measures and standards- . Duties may include the administration of all respiratory care therapeutic modalities, management of mechanical ventilation, and the assessment of effectiveness of therapy administered.
