This is a full-time position providing peer services for the primary purpose of helping others with a mental illness. The person in this position is responsible for assisting the individual in developing their own strengths and recovery plan.

　　Responsibilities:

　　The Certified Peer Specialist will work alongside multiple agencies and organizations to assist in Mental Health Services Programs/Open Arms Drop-In-Center, located in Waynesburg, PA.

　　The Certified Peer Specialist will promote the independence, employment, wellness management and the rehabilitation of persons with mental health disabilities through demonstrating good work habits, skills and behaviors while engaged in the CPS program location and throughout the community.

　　Must have a flexible schedule in order to meet the needs of the individuals served.

　　Must be a self-identified individual who has received or is receiving mental health services for an emotional disturbance or mental illness.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　High School Diploma or GED required.

　　Completion of the Department-approved Certified Peer Specialist Training (Preferred)

　　12 months of successful work or volunteer experience OR 24 hours accredited college credits.

　　Work experience in Mental Health preferred.

　　Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record for the past 3 years.

　　Must Pass Child Abuse, FBI (fingerprinting) and Criminal Background Clearances.

　　Pre-hire and bi-annual physical and Mantoux TB test.
