FTE: 0.900000 Shift: Shift 1 Hours: 0630-1900, every 3rd weekend,every other major holiday rotation Job Summary: The Certified NursingAssistant (CNA), under the direction and supervision of a RegisteredNurse, provides delegated age appropriate care in a culturally andethnically sensitive manner. The CNA assists patients with the tasksoutlined in their clinical competency assessment related to basicnursing skills, personal care skills and basic restorative services. TheCNA practices and performs what was taught during their CNA training andcertification or learned during basic nursing courses at an accreditedschool for professional nurses. The CNA may be asked to providecontinuous safety observation. This job reports to the NurseManager/Assistant Nurse Manager of the assigned unit and the RNs on dutyon each assigned shift. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification is required,otherwise must be currently enrolled in a nursing program and able toprovide documentation from an accredited school for professional nursesindicating successful completion of the basic nursing course whichencompass all of the criteria noted by the State of Wisconsinadministrative code and a minimum experience of one acute caremedical/surgical clinical rotation. American Heart Association (AHA)Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approvedequivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
