The vision of the Centralized Timekeeping team is to utilize top talent to streamline time and attendance data entry, reduce payroll defects and provide consistently high service levels. CTK will support and manage time and attendance matters for thousands of Amazon Associates.
The Centralized Timekeeping team manages the system and ticket queue by executing on the requests on a timely basis but will prioritize any payroll impacting ticket if there is a risk of a payroll defect. The efforts of this team support the business by ensuring associate’s time and attendance matters are handled with speed, precision and with customer obsession always in mind.
This position specializes in the time and attendance management supporting employees in Japan. The Timekeeper role is a centralized function that will manage time and attendance matters for buildings across the network. This role requires fast, accurate, and reliable data entry. You will work on MyTime system or related systems and a trouble ticket queue of time and attendance issues submitted by buildings or auto-generated from the Time and Attendance System. Your primary focus will be on system and ticketing, data auditing. You will also be performing other projects and duties as required.
Key job responsibilities
• Update tax panel changes of employees using existing data.
• Perform audits to check the taxes that are deducted from the employees' accounts.
• Set up new office sites for Amazon locations and tax panel set up as per legal requirement.
• Process current year adjustment as per employee request and audit findings.
• Answer questions related W2 and issue W2 Correction, if required.
• Process Tax Agency notices and work with payroll Vendor (ADP) for resolution.
• Perform quarter end and year end activities including YE communication, SIT credit correction, review of W2, client error report, Quarterly Verification letter, wage and tax register review etc.
• Communicate with employees to resolve their questions using communicator or through call.
• Process Out of Sequence payroll on quarterly basis for quarter end adjustments.
• Process Amendment using amendment sheet.
• Support Tax compliance manager in agency/IRS audits.
• Perform pre and post payroll interface audits.

Basic Qualifications
· Business proficiency in the Japanese language & English language.
· Has a good eye on diving deep into small details with reliable data-entry skills
· Proficient is MS Office tools
· Carry out audits, data checks and corrections in the attendance system to ensure accurate and timely payment of the employees.
· Should not hesitate to call-out errors, inaccurate data, flaws and misinterpretations from employees.
· Comfortable to provide feedback regarding the role and work volume.
· Aptitude for working independently with excellent problem solving skills.
· Participation in the continuous improvement of HR processes via weekly/bi weekly meetings.
· Ability to work in international teams where team members are in different locations and belong to different cultures.
· Amenable to work overtime
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience of working in a transactional / process based environment
· Work Experience in HR Shared Services
· Experience working in multinational company
