JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description Work hands applying the latesttechnologies as you build, maintain and splice Midco\'s fiber opticnetwork. This position can be located in Cambridge or Forest Lake, MN orNew Richmond, WI. KEY FUNCTIONS: Engage in Construction team efforts tomaintain, expand and upgrade Midco\'s regional network. Splicing fiberoptic cables in both outdoor and indoor settings. Ensure the completionwith high levels of accuracy on all fiber assignments by performingpre-checks to verify traffic and accurate labeling to maintain fiberdocumentation with 100% accuracy. Ensure the integrity of the fibersystem by using approved industry test procedures. Reading, creating andmaintaining accurate splicing schematics and diagrams in GIS fibermanagement platform. Possess an in-depth knowledge of RF, fiber, and HFCsystems. Resolve problems and questions for Field Operations, whileproviding optimal internal customer service. Inspect completed work forcompliance and quality assurance. Maintain up-to-date knowledge oftechnological developments in the industry. Read, comprehend, andutilize cable system maps and plans in both AutoCAD and GIS format.Assist in preparing site surveys. Prepare asbuilts and update mapsaccurately and in a timely manner. Ensure all project documents arecomplete in their entirety, placed in Compass, and kept current. Wearsafety apparel which includes hard hats (where required), safety vests,OSHA approved boots, etc. Be ready, willing, and able to travel. Travelmay be as high as 80%, depending on business needs. Maintain current,valid driver\'s license and good to excellent driving record (DUI withinthe last 5 years disqualifies you for employment in this position).Operate and drive a Company vehicle in accordance with all Midcopolicies including maintaining a safe driving record.
