Job Summary The CDS Program Specialist/Designated Coordinator for the Client Directed Services (CDS) department at MRCI will oversee all CDS services affected by DHS licensing rules. In addition, the Program Specialist/DC will ensure all current licensing requirements are met relative to CDS programs, this includes annual and semi-annual participant meetings as well as the annual/semi-annual licensing documents. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Engage and participate in the delivery of all services within CDS governed by DHS licensing rules, specifically MN Statute 245D; ensures that all licensing is met. Maintains understanding and expertise in all current requirements and all future updates to licensing rules, guidelines, protocols and reporting requirements. Arranges for and attends Individual Plan meetings as needed. Coordinates the efforts of the family, staff and other involved individuals to provide services to the clients. Responsible for developing and initiating an appropriate Support Plan Addendum as well as other annual licensing documents. Ensures staff competency: guarantees that staff have access to mandated training and testing, that the training is tracked and that the training is completed within licensing timelines. Provides supervision, instruction and assistance to staff implementing the Support Plan Addendum and outcomes. Performs direct observations of service delivery to assess staff competency. Monitors and reviews continued appropriateness of the CSSP Addendums and outcomes and oversees the making of revisions as needed. Maintains documentation of the individual client s progress, according to the licensing standards. Engages with outside Designated Coordinators to implement program requirements. Ensure implementation of any corrective action ordered by DHS. Input and monitor new budget, service authorizations, along with processing plan revisions. Assist with payroll resolution, enrolling and assisting direct care workers with online time keeping systems all while providing a high level of customer service. Performs other duties as assigned.
