SUMMARY: Casella Waste Systems in Auburn is seeking to fill severalfull-time permanent CDL B DRIVER positions who will be responsible forthe safe and efficient operations of rear load, front load, side loadand roll off trucks for residential and commercial waste removal forcustomers on designated routes providing positive contributions tosurrounding communities on behalf of the company. Casella Driver CareerPath includes the driver levels of Apprentice, Class I Driver, Class IIDriver, Class III Driver, and Lead Driver. DUTIES: \ Provide prompt,courteous and complete waste removal services by safely manueveringassigned vehicle in residential and commercial environments \ Performpre/post trip inspections of assigned vehicle in accordance with companysafety standards as well as state and federal regulations; maintainappearance of truck in accordance with company standards \ Exhibit safeoperation of rear load, front load, side load, roll off trucks onstreets, highways, customer/construction sites \ Provide adistinguishably different level of service through courteousinteractions with all customers and provide service in a timely manner\ Exhibit positive attitude to company, customer and municipal goals;complete all company/federally mandated paperwork accurately \ Emptyall receptacles and clean the area around accidental waste spills \Complete assigned route sheet for one Line of Business (LOB) \ Attendand participate in all scheduled training programs and meetings asrequired by Casella or Manager \ Notify Dispatch of any serviceinterruptions, incidents, accidents, property damage, or unsafesituations; exhibit an ability to be observant and aware of allsurroundings at all times \ Participate in training and other learningopportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales andservices and perform any other duties needed to help drive companyvision, fulfill its mission, and/or abide by its core valuesREQUIREMENTS: \ High School Diploma/GED; min. age 18, and legallyeligible to work in US \ Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver License(CDL) \ Must have positive attitude and team-oriented who isdisciplined, dependable, determined, and focused on excellent customerservice \ Must have excellent verbal/written communication, listeningand problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of a team in acollaborative environment; be open to personal and professional trainingand development \ Must have phycial capability to handle objects 50lbs.+ frequently throught the shift under many different weatherconditions \ Must be able to pass pre-employment testing, physical, anddrug screen
