JOB SUMMARY
As a CDL A Driver you will transport raw materials, chemicals, andhazardous and non-hazardous materials in the greater Chicago area: IA,IL, IN, MI, & WI.
CDL A Drivers are expected to follow safety procedures when transportingmaterials and to perform safety inspections before and after each trip.
CDL A Drivers are required to load and/or unload their own trailer or acustomer\'s trailer at the warehouse.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive and maneuver a curtain van, tractor with 5500g liquid bulktanker, tractor with 53ft. van trailer, and a 26ft box truck with alift gateTransport IBCs (250g and 330g totes) to customer locationTransport liquid hazardous materialsPump hazardous materials via a diaphragm pump into the customer\'sstorage tank.Operate a pallet jack and/or drum dolliesOperate a sit-down forkliftLoad and unload trucksEffectively, timely, and respectfully communicate and interact withother employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations,and customersProficient with following verbal and written instructionsPlaces product securely in appropriate warehouse locations to ensurethat damage or misplacement does not occurRetrieves and loads customer products as directed on shippingdocuments to ensure proper quantities and item identificationEnsures the interface with customers and co-workers is beingconducted in a manner that is conducive to operational goalsConduct oneself in a professional manner and ensure personalappearance meets the standards necessary to perform the jobfunctions while representing the companyNeatly store supplies and empty containersGeneral housekeepingPerform proper forklift inspections and follow forklift operatingguidelines and proceduresComply with all safety requirements within the company{=html}<>- Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safe handling practices as required from Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company procedures- Follow WHMIS, MSDS and all other safety training requirements and procedures- Follow all government and regulatory requirements when handling and transporting chemical materials- 75% Local Runs with some overnights per business needs

QUALIFICATIONS
2-Years of experience as a licensed CDL A operator driving hazardousmaterials2-Years of experience operating both a manual and automatictransmissionNo more than 6-Points or 2-violations on your MVR in the past 12monthsActive CDL A with both Hazmat & Tanker endorsements2-Years experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility2-Years experience operating a sit-down forkliftPass forklift driving exam (pre-offer)Must be able to read and write load diagrams, shipping orders, andwork instructionsMust be able to operate electronic equipment, such as RF scanners orradios as assignedAbility to collaborate effectively and efficiently with colleaguesEffective communication skills and time managementGreat customer service skills and business acumenHazmat, Tanker, Doubles endorsementsGreat self starter!EDUCATION REQUREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED equivalentOTHER INFORMATION
This position works in an enclosed building that is subject to varian esin temperatures, extreme heat in summer, and colder temperature inwinter. This position frequently lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries up to50 pounds of product. This position can work various hours.
