Located 30 miles north of downtown Dallas, Omni PGA Frisco Resort is the largest resort currently in development in the country. Opening spring 2023, the resort will feature 500 guest rooms and suites, 10 four-bedroom ranch houses, three pools, including an adults-only rooftop infinity pool, a destination spa, Lounge by Top Golf, and over 127,000-square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space. An expansive retail and entertainment district will feature dining, shopping and an outdoor stage set to be activated for concerts and outdoor programming. The Resort will become a leading destination for golf providing an unparalleled experience for those who are advanced players, new to the game, and everything in between. The resort will offer 46 holes of golf designed by Beau Welling and Gil Hanse, including two 18-hole championship golf courses, a lighted 10-hole short course, and a lighted two-acre putting green.
Job Description
Omni PGA Frisco Resort is now hiring aCatering Sales Managerfor our resort, which features over 127,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting and event spaces, highlighted by naturally lit pre-function spaces. Our indoor spaces feature custom-designed carpets and light fixtures inspired by golf and the local landscape, while our outdoor spaces are separated from each other to create private events, with all those spaces showcasing spectacular golf views. Whether it's an elegant celebration in our 23,000 square-foot grand ballroom or a more intimate event in the 5,000 square-foot pavilion with a seamlessly integrated adjoining patio and event lawn, our catering team attends to every detail with expert care and personalized service.
The Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for ensuring definite groups are in compliance with property policy while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. He/She will maintain optimum guest satisfaction and meet or exceed overall profitability objectives.
Responsibilities
Proactively sell, contract, plan, detail, and execute catering bookings to include weddings and local/social events, with an emphasis on weddings and galas
Exceed all individual and team booking goals
Develop an individual marketing plan to exceed booking goals. Assist with department’s marketing efforts as they pertain to weddings and catering events
Meet and/or exceed the weekly sales requirements of face-to-face appointments, key account touch points, and prospecting calls.
Proactively encourage meeting planners and clients to complete the online survey and assist with achieving the department’s overall scores
Coordinate meeting space, audio visual, culinary, beverage, outside rentals/vendors, and all event-related specifics through BEOs and resumes. Upsell to maximize the revenues in each of these areas
Along with the Culinary Department, create profitable menus
Conduct site inspections, conference calls, and pre- and post-event meetings when necessary
Serve as the main liaison between the resort and client; proactively ask questions and communicate information where necessary. Take accountability for the group’s stay at the resort
On conclusion of all events, review final bill and overall event evaluation with planner to ensure guest satisfaction
Attend wedding trade shows and other related industry events
Participate in Omni-sponsored programs
Other duties as assigned by Director of Catering
