What you\'ll do in this role:* Build and execute comprehensive strategic category sourcing plansaround Silgan\'s key spending areas. * Manage and investigate thesourcing of MRO, Packaging, Operations, and more. * Develop, prepare,launch, and evaluate RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and other documents to assess thesupply base landscape, capabilities, and effectiveness to ensure Silganrealizes improved total value. * Be accountable for significant valuepurchase areas with substantial implications for company profitabilityand service efficiency. * Establish annual savings and working capitalimprovement plans to achieve cost reductions on managed spending yearover year. * Acts as organizational subject matter expert for assignedcategories, including supply base capabilities. We need you to have: *Bachelor\'s degree in business or related field of study. * 4+ years ofexperience in procurement, purchasing, category management, or supplychain. * Demonstrated record of identifying, initiating, and deliveringyear-over-year cost savings, working capital improvements, andincreasing the value of professional services. * Ability to develop,interpret, and make judgments and recommendations from the total cost ofownership and should-cost models.
