What you would do as our Category Manager:
The Category Manager will oversee category-related activities for ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems and Opening Solutions EMEIA across Europe, aligning with ASSA ABLOY's overall strategies. The main objective is to consolidate spending with strategic partners, reducing complexity and costs.
You would also:
Functional procurement responsibility for both divisions with a focus on strategy execution and P/L results.
Report to the Head of Indirect Purchasing, collaborating with regional teams and key stakeholders.
Crucial collaboration with HR and manufacturing sites to drive efficiency and cost reduction projects.
Key requirements include creating and executing category strategy/plans, implementing governance, and ensuring best practices.
Responsible for selecting indirect suppliers, consolidating volumes, and driving improvements in the procurement process.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who has:
Strong personal drive and commitment for timely delivery
Excellent business acumen
Skilled in legal and contract knowledge
Financial competence in evaluating suppliers and business cases.
Demonstrated track record of delivering substantial results in the category; BSc in Industrial Management/Engineering/Logistics/Economics (MSc or MBA preferred); 5-7 years of experience in a world-class procurement organization.
