As a valued member of the Bucks County Department of Parks and Recreation, the cashier will conduct transactions, handle money responsibly and provide customer service for pool patrons. Reports directly to the Head Cashier and Pool Manager. The fundamental responsibilities of a pool cashier encompass the operation of a POS system, proficiently handling and counting money, and generating daily/weekly financial reports. Additionally, the role involves maintaining the cashier office and equipment in adherence to operational instructions and safety procedures, supervising patrons and enforcing rules, possessing knowledge of customer service standards, and serving as the gatekeeper for incoming patrons by checking pool tags, issuing registrations, and collecting admissions fees when required. The cashier on occasion also monitors the pool water slide. Operating on a schedule from weekends-only in May to mid-June, seven days a week from mid-June to the end of August, and returning to weekends until Labor Day, successful candidates should possess excellent communication skills, enjoy public interactions, handle adverse conditions and conflicts professionally, and demonstrate proficiency in operating POS systems and executing necessary mathematical tasks.
