Work Schedule: 8 Hr (8:00:00 AM - 4:30:00 PM)
Summary:
The Cash Coding Analyst is responsible for all cash applications to the on-line system and balancing of daily cash receipts to a computer generated report. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Applies cash on a daily basis to the system for patient and third party payers.
• Has a detailed knowledge of all job functions, corporate policies and procedures in the cash department.
• Minimizes cash reconciliation items.
• Copies batches and updates lockboxes on a daily basis.
• Prepares daily transmittals for deposit of cash receipts.
• Maintains an internal log of all transmittals and cash deposits.
• Processes cash write-offs, cash adjustments and cost center transfers on a daily basis.
• Processes refund requests.
• Corrects all on-line payments and/or adjustment errors as required.
• Resolves all deposits or posting discrepancies.
• Assists in the accounting department with monthly cash reconciliation.
• Interacts with other team members to ensure all are working towards the same objectives.
• Arrives at workstation and begins work in a timely fashion
• Performs within the framework of RUMC/HDM, L.L.C. policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED desired.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Requires excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good problem solving skills and the ability to work independently and quickly in responding to and resolving a wide range of problems.
• Excellent data entry skills.
• Flexibility with work schedule.
• Dependable in attendance and job performance.
• Good organizational and time management skills.

Physical Demands:
• May be exposed to certain hazardous materials, including but not limited to blood-borne pathogens, cleaning and sanitizing agents.
