We are in the process ofbuilding courses and assessments for a Cybersecurity Pathway, and areseeking dynamic and experiences candidates to join our team and to bringhigh-quality Cybersecurity Assessment experiences to all students.
About the Opportunity
As the Director, Assessment Specialist: Networking Fundamentals, you areresponsible for the quality and validity of all assessment content forthe Networking Fundamentals exam. Cybersecurity 1: NetworkingFundamentals is the first course in a two-course Cybersecurity Pathway.
The Assessment Specialist is the primary point of contact for allassessment content developed for the Networking Fundamentals exam. TheAssessment Specialist is responsible for all item development andmanagement, from authoring to administration, as well as training andcollaborating with subject-matter experts (SMEs) in K-12, highereducation, and industry. The Assessment Specialist trains SMEs onassessment development protocols, translates across academic andtechnical experts, coordinates with pre- and post-production colleagues(including editorial, graphics, publications, and psychometrics) andcollaborates to develop formative assessment materials and resources tosupport CK Cybersecurity Pathway teachers and students across the UnitedStates.
In this Role, You Will
Assessment Development and Scoring (80%)
Serve as the assessment lead for Cybersecurity 1: NetworkingFundamentals.Collaborate closely with the assessment lead for Cybersecurity 2:Cybersecurity Fundamentals as well as the course leads for bothcourses to maintain harmony across pathway exams.Recruit, train, monitor, and provide feedback to assessment itemwritersAuthor and revise assessment content and train others to authorassessment contentLead the development of all formative and summative assessmentcontent through iterative review stages with multiple internal andexternal stakeholders, including the Cybersecurity Course Leads,Assessment Production teams, CK Assessment Director, and TestDevelopment Committee.Be responsible for development of all assessment forms, ensuringthat the exam aligns with approved curricula and test specificationsConduct multiple face-to-face weekend meetings as well as virtualmeetings (during work week, evenings, or weekends) with each of thecommittees within your stewardship as well as other committeemeetings in the discipline as needed.{=html}- Lead in-person and virtual scoring events and produce scoring materials to publish for teacher and student use
Assessment Quality and Process (20%)
Contribute to current research and best practices related to assessment;participate in regular discussions with other Career Kickstart and APCurriculum Assessment colleagues on current assessment standards andpractices, building toward common, shared beliefs about the direction ofCK assessment and the larger CTE educational and assessment community
Contribute to creating and refining processes for efficient, highquality assessment development
Refine and improve question task models in collaboration with AssessmentDirector and other internal and external stakeholders
Make data-driven recommendations for CK Cybersecurity exam designimprovements in collaboration with and aligned to other College Boardinitiatives
Monitor and improve exam validity, reliability, fairness, and quality,as well as reader reliability in accordance with established programthresholds
Serve as a recognized and trusted resource within the community bycollaborating with the CK Course Leads in engaging with the community todrive teacher satisfaction with the CK Cybersecurity Pathway courses andexams
