GENERAL SUMMARY: Under supervision of nursing staff, is responsible for the monitoring and direct care of patients on hemodialysis. Monitors patients on an ongoing basis and communicates information to appropriate team member. Works as a member of the interdisciplinary team caring for the dialysis patient. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. Nursing Assistant (NA), Medical Assistant (MA), or other healthcare experience preferred. Must successfully complete the Greenfield Health Systems dialysis training program, as a condition of continued employment. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: As a condition of continued employment, certification as a dialysis technician must be obtained (and maintained) within designated timeline of 18 months, in accordance with federal regulation.
