A-Gas is a global business with the purpose to protect and enhancing the environment by effectively managing the lifecycle of refrigerants to build a sustainable future.
We have support from a private equity partner. They invest in high-potential, purpose-driven companies that contribute to reducing carbon emissions in measurable ways.
We have the ambition to grow our environmental services across the globe. This means huge opportunity for the people in our business.
Why this opportunity?
The world must cut global greenhouse gas emissions and one climate solution with massive impact potential is Lifecyle Refrigerant Management.
It's about disposing of old refrigerants and preventing leakage of refrigerants into the atmosphere.
The potential impact is staggering: lifecycle refrigerant management could prevent nearly 90 gigatons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions, which is equal to approximately 15 years of US emissions.
In the face of a climate crisis, it's crucial people understand how vital refrigerant management is.
If this is a mission you can get behind, you should read on.
What you'll love about your role as Carbon Program Manager
You'll be joining us in a newly-created role in our Group Carbon team, reporting to our Group Carbon Director.
Our US business has been developing reliable, impactful, and defensible carbon projects for over 12 years. Our Group team will drive our agenda to the next level - supporting carbon projects on a global scale.
You'll play a key role in tracking carbon market developments globally, building partnerships, and identifying refrigerant gas acquisition opportunities.
Beyond this you'll work with carbon registries to develop best-in-class methodologies and protocols, which ensure the full environmental benefits of our projects are realized.
If it's not already clear, this is a role full of challenge. You're not coming here to crank the handle. You're joining us to build something impactful on a global scale. Imagine how that's going to look on your CV.
Who you are
You already have experience and knowledge in carbon markets and developing carbon projects, preferably in regulated markets. You've also gained a good understanding of creating methodologies and how carbon registries work.
Your skills also include structuring, analysing and negotiating carbon deals.
But you've likely hit the ceiling in your current position and have a strong desire to develop your experience both internationally and commercially.
You need to be business-savvy, willing to source refrigerants, and interested in promoting our carbon offerings by connecting with carbon credit buyers.
You'll need plenty of drive, determination and focus if you're to help transform our global carbon offering quickly and beyond recognition.
