　　Civil Engineering Intern

　　Internships are designed to introduce students into the workforce. The program will build essential professional skills by offering opportunities for hands-on learning in a supportive yet challenging environment. The internship program is designed to round out participants' academic learning with real world experience and help them explore related areas of practice to find the best fit for their career path.

　　It's our priority to understand our client's operating environment and infrastructure challenges so that we can navigate the site permitting and approvals process. We provide creative integrated solutions that help make challenging development projects a reality. We are there at every stage of a project - starting with a due diligence investigation, to obtaining site survey, providing conceptual to final design, permitting and providing construction administration and project closeout. We work closely with VHBers across disciplines, along with our partnering consultants to ensure that the project fulfills the needs of our client.

　　Responsibilities

　　Collaborate with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely manner

　　Assist in development of planning and engineering solutions Assist in data mining and visualization Perform analysis of data or calculations Perform field data collection and other on-site project support activities Prepare written documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reports Qualifications

　　Currently pursuing a degree in civil engineering or related fieldStrong interest in land development, transportation, urban design, environmental, or energy sector Ability to work on a computer remotely Ability to work in the NYC office at least three times weekly.Ability to travel locally and complete fieldwork if necessary Our best estimate of the hourly salary range for this position located in New York is $19/hr - $28/hr. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors such as individual qualifications, education, and experience.
