JOB REQUIREMENTS: Capital planning engineers (CPE) support the creationand implementation of the capital improvements plan and the overalllong-term reliability of District infrastructure in their assignedareas. The positions work through facility planning, business casedevelopment, data analysis, and similar planning methods. Capitalplanning engineers work closely with staff in operations, maintenance,and engineering to analyze needs and plan solutions. The positions workwith customer communities as needed to address community impacts onDistrict infrastructure and ensure reliability of the regional system.The positions develop, maintain, analyze, and apply data specific totheir assigned areas. The positions develop technical expertise inassigned areas. The capital planning engineer focuses their efforts andduties on infrastructure within the District\'s conveyance system or oninfrastructure located at the treatment plant. Six (6) years ofrelated professional practice in engineering. Preferred: Possess anEnvision Sustainability Professional credential from the Institute forSustainable Infrastructure or willingness to obtain within 6 months ofhire. Experience with wastewater infrastructure and treatment related tothe assigned area.
