CAPE Teacher Full Time 182 days/6 - 8 hrs/day Location: Blaine Early Childhood Center Provide child care services during the school day to teen parents at the Blaine Early Childhood Center.. The primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following (under the direction of the Day Care Specialist): Direct personal care for infants 6 weeks to 4 years old. Set up and supervise learning activities - document daily activities of children - supervise and work with children in classroom. Oversee personal care of children. Communicate with parents and center director. Perform other duties as assigned. (*Title refers to Department of Humans Services (DHS) day care terminology and does not imply licensure, certification or Anoka-Hennepin District 11 employee units.) Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Specific courses and/or experience as required by the Minnesota Dept of Human Services (DHS) as a teacher. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people function. Must be physically working in the building.
