The scope of the IT GEMS contract includes a full range of information technology (IT) services which include necessary hardware, software, and ancillary, components to support enterprise-level programs and environments. Support service areas include program management support, policy, procedures, and operations support, IT core services support, security compliance, customer and client services support, transformational IT support, and application migration support.
HOW A CAPACITY AND AVAILABILITY MANAGEMENT LEAD WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Supports C.5.2.5 Availability Management.
Leads a matrixed team supporting availability and capacity management, including the Event Management Team, the VNOC, and relevant functional teams.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining our ITIL-based ITSM4Gov Availability Management program and documents it in the Availability Plan, ensuring it reflects current and future SLAs (99.5% and 99.99% respectively).
Assesses the capacity of DMDC's enterprise infrastructure and services in meeting current and future demand and provides recommendations to optimize capacity to maintain optimal performance and availability while reducing and minimizing costs.
Coordinates with the CCC on risk management and event management strategies to ensure a coordinated response to events, such as maintenance, to minimize disruptions to services and maximizing availability.
Coordinates with our Core Services team and System Owners to ensure accurate and up-to-date information regarding dependencies, impact of disruptions, and restoration processes is captured in the CMDB (ServiceNow).
Creates and maintains a daily outage schedule for assigned systems on SharePoint (IPMS-SharePoint), ensuring stakeholders are aware of planned disruptions.
Oversees scheduled maintenance activities to ensure they are executed within approved timelines.
Reviews and updates our Availability Management program and plan, capturing feedback and lessons learned as part of our CSI2 program.
Produces and maintains the Availability Plan (Del 31), providing the initial plan 30 days of contract award and provides availability recommendations (Del 32) within 10 business days of request.
Delivers our Outage Management Process (Del 33) within 30 days of contract award and performs updates, as required.
Maintains the Daily Outage Schedule (Del 34) with the first submission within five days of contract award and performs updates as changes occur.
Provides the Capacity Dashboard and Weekly Disk Utilization Report (Del 59) with the dashboard operational within 90 days of award and the disk utilization report submitted within one month after contract award and weekly thereafter.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Security Clearance Level: Secret
5-8 years of experience, BA/BS degree or equivalent years of experience
Experience leading a team of 4 or more team members
Required Certification: IAT II, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
