RK&K is seeking a CADD Operator for our Keyser, WV office to support Environmental & Transportation projects.Essential FunctionsDevelop computer-generated drawings based on direction and engineering sketches; preparation of contract drawings and color renderings; maintain adherence to company and client CADD standards and proceduresSupport project research, agency requirements, drawing preparation, organizing CADD files, drafts design plans and detailsUse computer-aided drafting software to develop layouts, drawings and designs that meet engineering specificationsSupports engineers and designers of all disciplines through a variety of tasks including proposal drawings, red marks, and sketchesInteract with engineers and designers to quickly and accurately update/correct drawings during design processAbility to read and understand construction drawingsReview engineering drawings, analyze design and retrieve information to complete drawing, layout or designUse detail drawing or engineering specifications to dimension, scale or line locatePossess thorough understanding and efficiency with company drafting standardsRequired Skills and ExperienceAbility to read and interpret basic technical documents and apply drafting/CADD techniques to project tasksPossesses good verbal and written communication skillsAbility to effectively present information to individuals and groups.Knowledgeable of CADD software applications (AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation OpenRoads).High school diploma or equivalentContinuing education, technical or college-level training in the use of CADDExperience in an Architectural, Engineering and Construction industryMust understand basic geometry/trigonometryOne year experience in drafting for a civil engineering firm is preferredMust be detail oriented and able to follow QA/QC proceduresOther DutiesThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
