WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Consumer Technical Insight (CTI) team is the R&D function responsible for consumer insights and claims. We are seeking a technician to join our Middle East Turkey (MET) Beauty & Wellbeing (B&W) CTI team, as part of our Istanbul based team. In this core R&D function you will help define and deliver technical substantiation appraisal studies for consumer relevant product claims in the laboratory and in 3rd parties, run competitor monitoring activities, lead product sensory checks, lead technical readiness of the consumer understanding studies and support knowledge-based selling agenda via developing & executing product performance demos for internal and external stakeholders. You will help the wider CTI team to develop and land innovations across Unilever Hair Care and Skin Care brands like Elidor, Dove, Clear, Tresemme, Vaseline, etc... You will work in a multi-disciplinary R&D team and be the key support for strengthening the link between the product development, process development, marketing, and global CTI/Claims partners.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in a FMCG R&D function mainly on operational roles, preferably in Beauty & Wellbeing and/or Personal Care categories
Minimum 2 years of experience in laboratory - technical work and organization
Proven experience in technical product performance measurements and robust reporting to relevant stakeholders are required.
Strong technical data handling, analysis and interpretation skills are essential, and significant experience in data handling using MS Excel or other data tools, and statistical analysis using JMP or similar, is required.
Familiarity with the skills in the use of appraisal techniques, sensory evaluation, and consumer testing is expected.
Proven experience in competitor monitoring and trends watching is a plus.
Flexibility, creativity, and open mindedness in product performance demonstrations is a plus.
Able to work well in teams and collaborate smoothly with others.
Able to work independently or with limited supervision, have strong technical, problem solving, communication and organizational skills.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hybrid working with an average of 3 days of office work (Main location is Istanbul Umraniye Head Office. Based on project tasks/requirements, occasional work will require presence in Sarıgazi Pilot Plant office.)
