JOB PURPOSE
What can you expect from the role?
This role is part of the Business Unit for Beauty & Wellbeing Europe , focusing specifically on Hair & Skin Care categories. TRESemmé, Dove, Vaseline, Sunsilk, Simple; are among the world's most recognisable Hair and Skin Care Global brands developed by Unilever's Development Centre in the North West of England. In your role as Beauty & Wellbeing Market R&D Assistant Manager you will be partnering with Brand, Regulatory, Legal and other R&D functions to support the technical delivery of Beauty & Wellbeing innovation and renovation projects to the UK, Irish and French markets for both hair care and skin care. The role will report into the Lead Beauty & Wellbeing R&D Manager for UK, Ireland, France and Eastern Europe who will be co-located in Kingston.
RESPONSIBILITIESReviewing claims and evaluate risks with legal and regulatory.Influencing and educating our customers, consumers and business partners on our products and technologies. Helping to create scientific content and demos to explain our superior technologies internally and externally.Translating technical product benefits and technologies into consumer language and present this in an engaging way to influence customer and consumer purchasing decisions.Developing and executing customer and consumer oriented technical communications and support PR and media activities as required.Monitoring local market dynamics including competitor launches and activities.Acting as the link between the local business and the regional/global R&D teams, sharing with them your expert knowledge of the local markets.Executing compliance requirements for new or relaunched products according to mandatory Unilever policies & relevant local legislation, including artwork approval and product notifications. Recruitment Fraud
Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.
How is Unilever tackling this?
Many of Unilever's recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
