Description:
• Perform Market Tests, analyze responses and award sourcing of parts
• Support business case development for new products
• Review low stock parts and issue POs to maintain optimal inventory levels
• Follow up on past due POs and track shipments
• Review open backorders on weekly basis and expedite parts delivery
• Update lead times, minimum order quantities and reorder points as needed
• Follow all established Ford Purchasing Practices and Procedures as communicated
• Collaborate with cross functional team members to deliver successful products
• Creatively seek and bring forward opportunities for process improvements
• Write professional communications to suppliers and coworkers
• Present opinions and ideas in meetings with varying levels of management in attendance
• Function proficiently in the MS Office software systems, particularly Excel
Skills & Qualifications:
Must haves:
2+ years of purchasing experience within AUTOMOTIVE
OEM or Tier 1/2 supplier experience in purchasing
Intermediate excel knowledge (Excel Testing required)
Bachelor's Degree in related business/supply chain field
