Patient Resolution Specialist
Job Description
Purpose & Scope:
The Patient Resolution Specialist promotes an excellent patient experience by responding to patient/family/caregiver grievances that may result from an unsatisfactory experience after discharge. This position is responsible for investigating and drafting the written response to grievances in accordance with the VHC policies and regulatory requirements.
This position facilitates resolution through interface with medical, clinical and non-clinical staffs as appropriate.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or other relevant clinical degree.
Master's degree
Experience:
2 - 3 year's experience in patient care.
Manager role experience.
Certification/Licensure:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions or c ompact state licensure in nursing is preferred.
Skills:
Professional writing and proofing skills required ensuring documents meet standards.
Strong Interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
Ability to organize work and seek help on tasks where needed.
Ability and willingness to learn new software applications.
Experience in customer interactions and detailed review of health-related materials.
