　　Your team

　　The role will report directly into the Leveraged Finance COO and help manage the group's operating effectiveness, including strategic business and client coverage planning, overseeing the Front-to-Back ("FTB") control environment, driving various change and business enabling initiatives. The aim is to optimize the group's risk-adjusted profitability by both growing revenues and controlling costs, while operating within the group's stated risk appetite profile.

　　The scope of the work you will carry out includes:

　　• working in collaboration with the Global Co-Heads of Leveraged Finance to develop and dynamically adjust strategic business plans, financial budgets and supporting risk appetite limits

　　• maintaining the operating effectiveness and integrity of the FTB control environment including acting as the first line of defense.

　　• identifying areas of improvement needed in FTB framework; collaborating with Legal, Compliance, Operations, Finance, IT and other functions to propose and deliver solutions.

　　• monitoring the various control processes to ensure adherence to the risk & control framework.

　　• responding to Audit and Regulatory inquiries.

　　• support on ad hoc Projects, for example: examining and implementing AI over the existing GB data stack, i.e. Banker Portal or implementing strategic loan infrastructure to drive scalability of lending business

　　Your expertise

　　• undergraduate Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics or Statistics

　　• CFA, CPA (or other international Professional Accounting Qualification), or MBA is preferred but not required

　　• previous experience within one or more of the following roles:

　　o Investment Bank Business Analyst or COO

　　o Investment Bank Front Office, i.e. Banker

　　o Investment Bank Product Control

　　o Management Consulting, including "Big 4" Accounting Firms focused on Banking and Finance

　　• fixed income knowledge, specifically securities and leveraged loans is essential

　　• strong communication and presentation skills

　　o ability to influence, respectfully challenge & communicate to internal and external stakeholders across all levels of seniority

　　o good at building a network of contacts across the business, logistics and control functions and within the business management team

　　• project management experience a plus

　　• ability to understand new issues/processes quickly and to offer creative solutions

　　• ability to effectively manage a busy and high-profile workload with tight deadlines - i.e. ability to manage expectations, determine urgency/prioritization based on business need and benefit.

　　• high level of numeracy, with proven strong analytical and problem-solving ability

　　• excellent Microsoft office skills particularly Power Point and Excel
