As one of our BI Data Engineers you will use the latest technologies to deliver solutions for our internal clients that address their business needs and challenges. You will engage in a range of analytical projects, from complex data modelling to designing Data Engineering solutions that include error handling, data synchronization and auditing.

Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Preferred OLAP Data Modeling experience & solution designProficiency in cloud data integration (ETL/ELT), data mining, partner with source system technical owners to create data extraction methodologiesFamiliarity with Data Lake platform components, data structures, and overall integrationStrong understanding on the principles and implementation of Enterprise Data Management i.e., Master Data & Data QualityPlan, design, document, develop, test, troubleshoot and manage Data Warehouse & Data Lake solutionsFamiliar with source control technologies and incident workflow platforms, i.e., Github, Service Now, Azure DevOpsConduct gap, risk, and impact analysis across our data & BI solutionsAdhere to development standards, test plans, update release documentation Partner with infrastructure resources during the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of database platforms and code changesWork closely with business partners to deliver effective global Data BI in a timely mannerTrain and advise our customers on the proper usage and application of SGS's master, transactional and meta dataFamiliar with Datawarehouse & Data Lake data security models, i.e., object, row, column levels, etc.Demonstrate ability to be collaborative and work in team environmentDo not fear to clearly communicating ideas, risks, and general status updates across projectsPreference to having some experience in Agile & Scrum methodologiesCompetency Requirements
Strong preference on understanding Modern Data Architecture and respective platforms Synapse Analytics and SnowflakeFamiliar with Azure, ADF/Snowflake Pipelines,Familiar with API integration, different data structures and formats (JSON, Parquet, XML, etc.)Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (current and older versions)Expertise with MSFT SQL Server components, i.e., Integration, Analysis ServicesExperience with Power BI or equivalent visualization technologyExperience with DAX / OLAP is a plusDemonstrated SQL skills with extensive experience in developing stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, and advanced logical methods.Familiarity with data warehousing methodologies and techniques.Robust ETL/ELT design expertise (error handling, data synchronization / auditing, etc.)Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Excel Services, SharePoint.Experience with Web development tools and Web services a plus (ASP.NET, VB.NET, XML)Understanding of SDLC and production environmentsGood interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way##LI-VU1
